Finally we made our long planned flight with Abbie in a Dragon Rapide over London, the weather was perfect and the views were spectacular. Here are just a few of the images from the day:

Small cats photo shoot.

These are just a small selection of the photos that I took at a Small Cats photography workshop that I attended on the 21st July. The workshop was held at The Cat Survival Trust, a voluntary and charitable organization devoted to the conservation and preservation of wild cats.
The workshop was taken by John from Photographers on Safari.
The whole day was an experience I will never forget, it was so well organised and informative with great opportunities to get some really up close and memorable photos. The whole day was topped off with a surprise appearance of a Snow Leopard cub, she was just 7 weeks old and was one of a litter of three cubs born at the Cat Survival Trusts twelve acre site in Hertfordshire.
To be up close and be able to carefully stroke such an amazing creature is a once in a lifetime moment.
For most my photographs I used my Canon 400D and a 70mm to 300mm Canon lens. The shots of the Snow Leopard cub were taken using a Canon 100mm Macro lens.
For the last four photographs I used my point and shoot camera, a Panasonic Lumix TZ10 on the Macro Zoom setting!

This Snow Leopard cub will eventully get this big!
Oblivious to the all the wasps around this Snow Leopard enjoyed a mid afternoon snack.

This shot was a lot nearer to the Leopard than I thought!
Certainly made me jump back a few feet!
I hope you have enjoyed looking at just a few photos from my day.
